Hairy Dragonfly

Nothing really doing at the pond with just 2 Common Tern, 6 Buzzard, Oystercatcher, 2 Red-legged Partridge and a Raven the only noteworthy birds seen though it’s nice to see that Yellow Wagtail have got there first brood off successfully while today 4 Foxes were seen in different locations including an adult catching a Rabbit in the sailing club graveyard.

With the weather continuing to be ideal for insects we joined up with Keith and Allan at Stockton Cutting adding Silver Y, White-legged and Blue-tailed Damselfly to the year list and Hairy Dragonfly showed well for the cameras. Very good numbers of Small Blue noted.
