A sunny day

Two probable Brambling flew over farborough bank and a Rock Pipit soon buggered off as the disturbance level even at 8am reached silly levels with many fishermen, runners and cyclists out and about in glorious spring sunshine. Smew and Long-tailed Duck out in centre but we failed to find the Great-northern Diver. Only other birds of note were 2 Snipe, 30+ Meadow Pipit and 2 Oystercatcher before we decided to cut the visit short.

Napton on the Hill had 3 Buzzard, 3 Mistle Thrush and 20 Fieldfare plus Brimstone while the Baseley Small Holding still had 8 Tree Sparrow despite the local gun club out in force and another 5 Brimstones between there and home.
As the temperature continued to climb in the afternoon 3 Small Tortoiseshell, 2 Red Admiral, 4 Brimstone & 2 Peacock appeared as I pottered around the garden with 4 Buzzard, Peregrine and Sparrowhawk overhead.
