Early morning look for Lesser-spotted Woodpecker locally after a maiden voyage in Colin’s new car then a welcome hot breakfast after a cold start before checking in on the pond. A walk out to farborough spit produced a mirror surface enabling good scope views of the Long-tailed Duck and Smew, Great-northern Diver off the spit and 9 Snipe on the scrape.
